NEW AQUATIC CENTRE GREAT NEWS FOR LANGFORD

The announcement on February 4 that The City has agreed to a partnership with the YMCA/YWCA and Westhills to build a new aquatic centre at City Centre Park is great news for our community. The complex will have a lap pool, lazy river, warm water therapy pool and waterslide and a fitness centre and daycare. The Y has an amazing reputation for programs that promote healthy families and healthy lifestyles that play an important role in building a vibrant community. This is a key element of Council’s commitment to provide first-class recreational choices for our residents and families, and I’m sure it will be welcomed by people of all ages. I want to thank the YMCA/YWCA, Westhills, City staff and everyone who worked hard to make this possible.
