Haiti Community project Completed
We are so fortunate in Langford and in Canada for all that we have. The fact we recognize this and make the effort to help people in countries that are less fortunate says a lot. I couldn’t be prouder of the way our community stepped up and persevered to the end to help rebuild an orphanage in Haiti that was destroyed by an earthquake in 2010. The money we raised, more than $250,000, enabled the project to be completed at the end of April, with enough funding in place to provide long-term sustainability. I want to thank the businesses, individuals and volunteers whose hard work, dedication and donations helped make an amazing difference for the children who live there now, and those who will live there in the future.
